
Having discovered that the water supply was not up to scratch, we're having to replace the old narrow copper pipe from the mains with something wider. This, of course, meant a lot of digging and more mud - this time in the road. And more daffodils slaughtered in the process. (See a plucky survivor to the far left of the picture.)Still, there are plenty more along the verge further up the lane. Must take a photo before they've faded, buried in snow, frostbitten, blown over in a gale or eaten by sheep. It's tough in the country.
