Frosted glass
I don't think I've ever seen anything as beautiful as the pattern last night's heavy frost and this morning's glorious sunshine left on our rooflights this morning. You'd pay goodness knows how much for an artist to come up with anything half as breath-taking as this but nature does it for free. Fabulous.

This is amazing! To think that nature can make such beautiful patterns. Shame they aren't permanent!
Perhaps the impermanence is part of the beauty? I'm sure Zen Buddhists have something to say about this.
I remember as a child in the 60's having thick frost on the INSIDE of the bedroom windows sometimes... before double glazing and central heating. And frosty spiders webs everywhere when we lived in caravan too.
The frost hasn't melted all day here in the West Country, but snow is quite a rarity.
